Crusties, or The Crust Punks, is a collective term for the various drifters and hobos that travel in and out of Possum Springs by hopping the trains.
Description
The Crusties vary in age, gender and species, but all have a scruffy, unkempt appearance due to their drifter lifestyle. They wear practical yet well-worn clothes, and the male crusties all have facial hair.
Many of the crusties have missing limbs, torn ears, and other injuries, many of which caused by leaping off train cars.

Trivia
In the real world, "crust punk" refers to a subgenre of hardcore punk that takes influence from early extreme metal, named after the dreadlocks which were popular among fans of the genre. The lifestyle of the crusties resembles that of real-life hobos and other homeless people.
